We have again won prize in Alternative Energy Vehicles Races
Our university has again won prize in Alternative Energy Vehicles Races.
Our university's Electrical Vehicle Team (KBÜELAR) has won "The Best National Product Encouragement Prize" in Alternative Energy Vehicle Races arranged by Turkey Scientific and Technological Research Institution (TUBITAK).
KBUELAR team that has taken place in races since 2013 with their vehicle "NAR" sustains their success consistently. Karabuk University Electrical Vehicle team whose advisor is Prof. Dr. Raif BAYIR has been awarded "The Best National Product Encouragement Prize" in Alternative Energy Vehicle Races arranged by TUBITAK.
In races arranged by TUBITAK between 1-7 August and in which 43 teams from 30 countries has taken place; KBÜELAR team whose advisor was Prof. Dr. Raif BAYIR with "NAR V2 Plus" vehicle and also Ay-Yıldız team whose advisor was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa AKTAŞ with "Kar Volt" vehicle have represented Karabuk University.
"Nar V2 Plus" has passed all the tests, taken the banderole
KBUELAR team who had completed their registration on 1st August, the first day of the races, and put their vehicle into their garage then has been taken under technical controls of experts authorized by TUBITAK for their vehicle to take place. Our team has been one of the 3 teams that had qualified to take banderole by passing all of the tests done on the first day of technical controls without any missing. The teams that had qualified to take banderole in technical controls have taken place in alternative energy races on 5th August Friday. KBUELAR team has completed the competition in 6th order among 20 universities in alternative energy races and has qualified to start at 3rd order in final race. In final race done on 7th August, because of technical fault occured, "Nar V2 Plus" couldn't have completed the race.
Head of TUBITAK has investigated the vehicle of KBU
During the race, Karabuk University Electrical Vehicle Team's garage has been visited by many. Prof. Dr. Arif Ergin, the head of TUBITAK, has also come to the garage, taking information about the vehicle and the team from Prof. Dr. Raif Bayır, the advisor of KBUELAR team.
KBU has been the only university which achieves to take degree every year
According to the evaluations done by TUBITAK after the final race, National Motor Vehicle developed by KBUELAR team has been awarded by "The Best National Product Encouragement Prize" with Electronic Differential and Telemetry systems. KBUELAR team had been awarded by "The Best Design Prize" in 2014 and by "The Best National Vehicle Prize" in 2015 before. Thus, our university has been the only university that had achieved to take degree every year.
