Fulbright scholarship
The Turkey-United States Cultural Exchange Commission, known as the Fulbright Education Commission of Turkey, supports cultural exchange programs between Turkish and American university graduates, researchers and scientists. The Fulbright Program was initiated in 1946 by a law issued by the American Senate with the recommendation of Senator J. William Fulbright. The budget of the program is provided by the contributions of the two countries' governments. The Fulbright Program in Turkey aims to strengthen mutual understanding and respect between the Turkish Republic and American citizens through cultural change. The deadline for submitting Fulbright Academic Research Scholarship for academics who are interested in conducting research in the United States and who have received their doctorate degree over the last 5 years is October 27, 2016. The scholars who are considering to apply for this scholarship program can get detailed information about scholarship and application form at www.fulbright.org.tr.
